Slow-cooked Ham Roast with Sweet Honey Nutmeg Glaze

This delicious recipe is a family favorite that we enjoy every Easter with family. We are sure it will be the perfect addition to your Easter table as well!

Ingredients
- (1) Bone-in Ham Roast
- (1-2 cups) Apple Cider
- (1/2 tsp) Nutmeg
- (1 cup) Raw, Local Honey: Pint
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 180°F.
- Place the ham in a deep roasting pan.
- Pour apple cider into the pan until it reaches about 1 inch up the sides of the ham.
- Roast for 6 hours, uncovered.
- Increase oven temperature to 500°F for the final 5–10 minutes, keeping a close eye as the skin crisps and begins to crackle.
- Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm with Sweet Honey Nutmeg Glaze.
Sweet Honey Nutmeg Glaze
In a small saucepan, warm 1 cup of honey over low heat. Stir in ½ teaspoon nutmeg until fragrant. Drizzle over sliced ham or serve on the side.
