Ingredients

  • (1 lb) Ground Lamb
  • (1 tbsp) Olive Oil
  • (1/4 cup) Onion, diced
  • (4) Garlic Cloves, minced
  • (1 tsp) Paprika
  • (1 tsp) Allspice
  • (1/2 tsp) Red Pepper Flakes
  • (1/4 tsp) Ground Ginger
  • (to taste) Salt & Pepper
  • (1/4 cup) Fresh Mint, chopped
  • (1/4 cup) Flat Leaf Parsley, chopped

Directions

For the Bowls

  • 1 cup cooked rice (turmeric rice or your favorite variety)
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup hummus
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Pita bread (optional)
  • Extra mint and parsley for garnish

Make the Spiced Lamb

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for about 5 minutes, until softened.
  3. Add the ground lamb and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Stir in paprika, allspice, red pepper flakes, ginger, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh mint and parsley.

Assemble the Bowls

  1. Divide the cooked rice between bowls.
  2. Top with the spiced ground lamb, diced tomatoes, cucumber, hummus, and feta.
  3. Finish with extra mint and parsley.
  4. Serve with warm pita if desired.

These bowls are fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor, making them a great way to enjoy pasture-raised lamb in a quick, approachable meal.
