Ingredients

  • (1 lb) Sausage, Mild Italian, Loose Ground
  • (2 tbsp) Olive Oil
  • (1 medium) Onion, diced
  • (2 stalks) Celery, diced
  • (1 large) Golden Delicious Apple, diced
  • (3/4 cup) Dried Cranberries
  • (6 cups) Dried Bread Cubes
  • (4 tbsp) Melted Butter
  • (2 tbsp) Fresh Rosemary, minced
  • (2 tbsp) Fresh Sage, minced
  • (2 tbsp) Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • (2 cups) Chicken Stock
  • (To Taste) Salt & Pepper

Directions

  1. Sauté diced onion and celery in olive oil over medium heat until softened.
  2. Add sausage, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in fresh herbs, allowing the flavors to meld.
  4. Add chopped apples and dried cranberries, mixing well.
  5. Transfer the sausage mixture into your crockpot, then add the bread crumbs.
  6. Pour in chicken stock and melted butter, stirring to combine.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, letting the flavors develop and the stuffing become golden and fragrant.
