Ingredients
- (2 lbs) Ground Beef
- (3 strips) Bacon
- (1 Envelope) Onion Soup Mix
- (1 tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
- (1 cup) Blue Cheese Crumbles
- (1 large) Yellow Onion, sliced into thin strips
- (3 tbsp) Butter
- (To Taste) Salt and Pepper
- (4) Brioche Buns
- (1 1/2 tbsp) Olive Oil
Directions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions, and cook for 4-5 minutes, until tender, translucent, and caramelized. Season with salt and pepper. Stir through, cover the pan and keep warm.
- Preheat your grill to 375 degrees F or medium-high heat.
- Mince bacon with a sharp knife. It should be the same consistency as the ground beef.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Form mixture into 4 equal-sized hamburger patties. Make a small dent in the center of each patty.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 6 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature between 160-165 degrees F.
- Toward the end of cooking time, brush the cut side of the brioche buns with olive oil.
- Place the bunch oiled side down on the grill, and toast them for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove burger patties and buns from the grill, and assemble your burgers.
- Top each patty with crumbled blue cheese and caramelized onions.
- Store leftover burger patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet on your stove top or in a 325-degree oven for best results.
