Ingredients

  • Holiday Smoked Ham Deposit
  • (3/4 cup) Paprika
  • (6 tbsp) Sugar
  • (2 tbsp) Onion Powder
  • (2 sticks) Salted Butter
  • (1 cup) Dark Brown Sugar
  • (1/2 cup) Molasses
  • (1/4 cup) Apple Cider
  • (1/4 cup) Bourbon
  • (1 tsp) Ground Cinnamon

Directions

  • Season the Ham
Rub the smoked ham evenly with the dry rub. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors soak in.
  • Prepare the Grill
Set your grill for indirect heat and preheat to 250°F. Add hickory wood chips and charcoal for smoking.
  • Smoke the Ham
Place the ham in a large aluminum roasting pan and set it on the grill grates. Smoke for about 3 hours, keeping the temperature steady at 250°F. Add more hickory chips and charcoal as needed. When done, transfer the ham to a platter.
  • Make the Glaze
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar, molasses, apple cider, bourbon, and cinnamon. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens and becomes syrupy.
  • Serve
Pour the warm glaze over the smoked ham and serve immediately.
