Ingredients

  • (1 lb) Chicken Wings
  • (1-2 cups) BBQ Sauce
  • (1 tsp) Sea Salt
  • (1/2 tsp) Ground Black Pepper
  • (1 tsp) Garlic Powder
  • (1 tsp) Onion Powder
  • (1 tsp) Smoked Paprika

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the wings: Use a sharp knife to separate them at the joints into drumettes and flats. Discard the wingtips or save them for stock.
  3. Pat the wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps them crisp up in the oven.
  4. Season the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika, making sure they are evenly coated on all sides.
  5. Toss with BBQ sauce: Place the wings in a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of barbecue sauce, and mix until well coated.
  6. Arrange on the baking sheet: Spread the wings out in a single layer, leaving space between them for even cooking.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF and the skin is crispy.
  8. Toss with more sauce: Transfer the hot wings to a clean mixing bowl, add the remaining cup of barbecue sauce, and toss to coat.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
