Enjoy a delicious, tender whole chicken slow-cooked in a crockpot with aromatic spices and onions. This easy, comforting meal is perfect for dinner, with the option to use leftovers for convenient meal prep throughout the week!

Ingredients
- (4 lbs) Whole Chicken
- (2 tsp) Paprika
- (1 tsp) Salt
- (1 tsp) Onion Powder
- (1 tsp) Thyme
- (1/2 tsp) Garlic Powder
- (1/4 tsp) Cayenne Pepper
- (1/4 tsp) Pepper
- (1, chopped) Onion
Directions
- Combine the spices in a small bowl.
- Place your roughly chopped onion in the bottom of you slow cooker.
- Remove any giblets from the chicken, then rub the seasoning mixture all over the outside, inside the cavity, and under the skin.
- Put the chicken in the slow cooker, on top of the onions, breast side down.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours. (7 hours on low) When your chicken is falling off the bone, it's ready!
- OPTIONAL: If you'd like a crispy skin on your chicken, after you remove it from the slow cooker, you can put it in the oven on broil for 3-5 minutes.
