Ingredients
- (1 lb.) Ancestral Blend Ground Beef
- (1 tbsp) Olive Oil or Butter
- (1 medium) Onion, diced
- (2) Carrots, diced
- (1 cup) Peas, fresh or frozen
- (2 tbsp) Tomato Paste
- (1 cup) Beef Broth
- (1 tsp) Worcestershire Sauce
- (1 tsp) Thyme
- (to taste) Salt & Pepper
- (3 cups) Mashed Potatoes, leftover or fresh
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a large skillet, heat oil or butter. Add onion and carrots; cook until softened.
- Add the Ancestral Blend ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in peas, then spoon the mixture into a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top is lightly golden.
- Let cool a few minutes before serving — then dig in and taste the difference that real, nutrient-dense beef makes!
